Your information

Privacy, explained clearly.

WebLevitation is the independent studio of Oliver Ottesen, based in Oslo, Norway. Oliver is responsible for the personal information handled through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email weblevitation@outlook.com.

What you share and why

The contact form asks for your name, email address and a description of your project. These details are needed to respond, discuss your requirements and prepare the free proposal you request. You can email instead. Please do not include sensitive personal information or confidential information about other people.

Enquiry information is used to take steps at your request before a possible contract. Where you contact us on behalf of a business, our legitimate interest is to respond to that business enquiry. Security information is processed for our legitimate interest in preventing spam and protecting the website. If a project goes ahead, relevant information is also used to perform our agreement and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. The form sends your enquiry to Oliver and a separate acknowledgement to the email address you provide. No automated decision is made about whether to accept your project.

Services that handle your information

Resend handles delivery of the enquiry and acknowledgement emails. Microsoft Outlook hosts the enquiry inbox and subsequent email conversation. The website uses Sites hosting on Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting providers process technical request information to deliver and secure the website.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated abuse and may process technical browser and network information. The website also uses temporary submission counters derived from your email address and network address using keyed hashes. These counters do not contain the original addresses or your message. Your project text is not stored in the website database or deliberately included in application logs.

These providers may process information outside Norway and the EEA. Their processing locations, subprocessors and transfer arrangements are described in their privacy and data-protection information. You can contact Oliver for information about the arrangements applicable to your enquiry.

How long information is kept

If an enquiry does not become a project, Oliver deletes the enquiry correspondence from the Outlook inbox within 12 months of the last substantive contact. This is a manual retention policy, not an automatic website deletion. A deletion request can be made sooner.

For commissioned work, correspondence needed to deliver or support the project is kept while it remains relevant to the agreement. Records needed to meet legal obligations or handle a dispute may be retained for that purpose. Provider backups and operational records can follow separate retention periods.

Abuse counters are used in 15-minute windows. Expired counters are removed when a subsequent verified submission triggers cleanup; their expiry does not mean immediate deletion during an idle period. Email delivery records and hosting/security logs follow the relevant providers’ retention arrangements. Contact Oliver if you need details for your information.

The website records email delivery event IDs, message IDs, status types and timestamps to investigate delivery failures. It does not copy names, recipient addresses or message contents into this record. Events older than 30 days are removed when a new eligible delivery event arrives; records can remain longer during an idle period. Related operational logs follow the hosting provider’s retention arrangements.

Cookies, tracking and external links

The website does not currently use advertising trackers, session replay or audience analytics. Turnstile is used for contact-form security. Following an external link or opening your email application brings you under that service’s own privacy arrangements.

Your choices and rights

Email weblevitation@outlook.com to ask for access to your information, correction, deletion or restriction of processing. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and request portability where it applies. These rights depend on the circumstances; Oliver may need enough information to verify that a request concerns your own data.

You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, or the relevant supervisory authority where you live. Contacting Oliver first is welcome but is not a condition for making a complaint.
